Method: How to make tahini dip at home?
Spices
Step 1
Add the cumin and coriander seeds to a dry pan over medium heat and toast for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and toasted. Once fragrant, transfer to a pestle and mortar and grind to a coarse powder. Set aside.
Mixing
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together the tahini, water, and a good squeeze of lemon juice. Using a microplane, grate in a little garlic to taste. Whisk until the tahini starts to loosen. If it looks grainy and thickens at first, don’t panic—keep whisking until smooth and creamy.
Step 3
Season to taste. If it’s too thick and grainy, add a splash more water and whisk until smooth. If it’s too thin, add a little more tahini and whisk to adjust the consistency.
Serve
Step 4
Serve the tahini in a small bowl. Drizzle with Virgin Avocado Oil and sprinkle over your toasted spices. Finish with a pinch of Aleppo chilli and grate a little lemon zest on top.
